Let the Children Come to Me

  • St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 419 South Dithridge Street Pittsburgh, PA, 15213 United States (map)

With love and appreciation, we warmly welcome you to come to the Monastery's 3rd annual Dinner Banquet in memory of Gerontissa Taxiarchia, July 24th at St. Nicholas Cathedral.  Vespers begins at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Banquet at 5:00 p.m.

Through music and visuals, you will enjoy and experience the determination, courageousness, and preservation of the faith of the refugees that survived the holocaust of Asia Minor.

Our program will give you a glimpse of the virtue of being child-like; it will tell the story of what became of the children who lived Gerontissa Taxiarchia, knowing her as a cornerstone in their lives. You will watch and hear from children and young people today who are growing up experiencing the love and support of the Monastery as they face the challenges of our times.

Please join us for an evening that will give you an opportunity and quality time to be with family and friends; to browse the Silent Auction of hand-painted and gilded iconography and many beautiful, heirloom quality gifts for those who are special to you.

All proceeds will go to build a new Monastery.  May our Most Holy Mother of God protect you and your families for the love and support you show Her Monastery
