4th Annual Dinner Banquet fund-raiser in honor of Gerontissa Taxiarchia. Vespers at 3:00 and Banquet begins at 4:00. Many beautiful one-of-a-kind Silent Auction items and a Live Auction of a hand-painted icon by Gerontissa Theophano. The Steps to Heaven Walk-A-Thon will include a 10K ( on streets near the Monastery) andmile walk (on the Monastery grounds). Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Stretching is at 9:00 a.m. with the walk commencing at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

A ladies only High Tea at the Johnston House, a Victorian Tea House (907 Rte. 228, Mars, PA - near Cranberry). Come and enjoy a festive Christmas ambiance , share time with Gerontissa and shop for those special Christmas gifts! A savory lunch with scones and seasonal pastries will be served. Our program will give you a glimpse of the virtue of being child-like; it will tell the story of what became of the children who lived Gerontissa Taxiarchia, knowing her as a cornerstone in their lives. You will watch and hear from children and young people today who are growing up experiencing the love and support of the Monastery as they face the challenges of our times.
